Thank you for such a great explanation. Allowing the forearms to roll was so key to a better result for me. I was trying to force holding club at impact and not allow the forearms to roll…I was less consistent and certainly had less distance. At first it seems scary to let it roll but it’s so much better. An impact ball with colors on each side is a great aid that I use. Simply swing the club with the ball and it gives that instant feedback and you can feel your forearms have to roll to keep a swing going.

This is a video. It does a great job explaining how to shift my weight instead of just bumping my hips out.

No rotation through the ball is not a fix. Learn to swing slighly from the inside WITH wrist follow through/rotation. You have to fix club path and club rotation....BOTH. Your drill just shows people how to leave the face open ....hitting a nice high shot.

Your right leg on the backswing should not be locked. You almost have a backwards shift. If you got rid of that, you would have more power transferred and feel a lot freer.

There’s still Rt hand flexion happening through impact. Hang in there…. 👍

Good info but for me personally I tried for years to get weight more in the heel and it’s caused to much sway and “lunging” in the downswing. I still try to get the weight there but making sure the pressure or weight never lifts my backswing big toe. If I keep my toe on the ground and pressure in it that helps me stay centered and I don’t rush the downswing and lunge. This could be a feel or a real all I know it’s helped me tremendously with balance, weight shift, backswing positioning and better downswing move to release the club head more effectively.
